CLINTON – Clinton Hospital today announced that is has achieved national accreditation from DNV Healthcare, the only hospital accreditation program approved by the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) that integrates the ISO 9001 Quality Management System with the Medicare Conditions of Participation. DNV’s NIAHO® accreditation program requires hospitals to evaluate the continuum of patient care throughout its facilities and take measured steps to improve when it is warranted.

CLINTON – President and CEO of Clinton Hospital Sheila Daly, announced that Principal of Marlborough Radiology Associates and President of Clinton Hospital’s Medical Staff Jonathan Arnow, MD, and President and CEO of Clinton Savings Bank (CSB) Robert J. Paulhus, Jr., recently were appointed to Clinton Hospital’s Board of Trustees.

CLINTON – Sheila Daly, RN, MSN, CPHQ, president and CEO of Clinton Hospital, announced that Douglas Brown, senior vice president for member hospitals and chief legal officer for the UMass Memorial Health Care system, and David Fairchild, MD, MPH, senior vice president of clinical integration for the UMass Memorial Health Care system, and professor of medicine for UMass Medical School, were appointed to Clinton Hospital’s Board of Trustees.

CLINTON – Sheila Daly, RN, MS, president and CEO of Clinton Hospital had the honor of cutting the ribbon on the hospital’s beautiful new Emergency Department, marking the completion of the yearlong project. Just before the ceremonial scissors were used, Ms. Daly was surprised by an announcement from Bill McGrail, Esq., chairman, Clinton Hospital’s Board of Trustees, who named the newest building on the hospital’s campus in her honor, The Daly Building.

Satisfaction surveys highlight Clinton Hospital as a state/national leader.

October 10, 2012 (Clinton, MA) – In an age where patient-centered care is taking center stage, Clinton Hospital seems to be doing something very right according to recently released HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) data. The latest report named Clinton Hospital in the number-one position in Massachusetts for patient satisfaction in six out of 10 categories, and the hospital also ranked higher than the national average in all 10 areas measured.

Does your fear of falling keep you home more often than you’d like? Here’s your chance to put your fears to rest and learn how to prevent and manage falls so you can confidently get back to your life! Clinton Hospital, in collaboration with Oriol Health Care, is offering a free falls prevention program entitled, A Matter of Balance. This eight-week session aims to teach participants how to lower their risk of falling through strength and balance exercises, and by making small changes in their homes.

Gordon Edmonds, president and CEO of Leominster Credit Union (LCU) gladly presented Sheila Daly, RN, MS, CPHQ, president and CEO of Clinton Hospital with a $10,000 pledge check toward the hospital’s capital fundraising initiative, The Campaign for Emergency Care. The fundraising project will help defray some of the costs associated with the hospital’s $15 million, 28,000-square-foot expansion, which includes a 14,000-square-foot Emergency Department.
