Clinton Hospital offers digital mammography appointments, which can be scheduled within a few short weeks. All mammograms at the hospital are performed on state-of-the-art, digital mammography equipment.
All mammograms are reviewed by board-certified radiologists and then reviewed using R2 software, which is a computerized mammogram screening program that double checks mammograms in minute detail, highlighting any suspicious areas for further review. Follow-up diagnostic breast ultrasounds are also available.
To increase patient comfort during this exam, Clinton Hospital offers the MammoPad®. This disposable cushion provides a warm, comforting barrier between the surfaces and edges of the mammography device making the experience more comfortable, without impacting the clarity of the image.
The Clinton Hospital affiliation with UMass Memorial Medical Center and its Comprehensive Breast Center gives patients access to the latest research and treatments for breast cancer.
