Skin Conditions We Treat

We diagnose and treat a variety of skin disorders, including:

Psoriasis Clinic

Psoriasis is a common long-term (chronic) skin disease. Researchers think it develops from a combination of immune, genetic and environmental factors. In people with this disease, the skin grows too fast. Dead skin cells build up on the skin’s surface to form inflamed, thick, silvery scales called plaques. Sometimes people form many small lesions that can hurt or have pus in them.

Our specialists will discuss psoriasis treatment options with you. These may include:

  • Topical medicines
  • Phototherapy - skin may be exposed to a special light in the provider's office
  • Oral medication
  • Injections

Mohs Surgery

If you have been diagnosed with skin cancer, Mohs surgery is provided on the Leominster Campus. Mohs surgery is the most advanced treatment for skin cancer and has a very high cure rate of up to 96 to 99%.

Mohs micrographic surgery removes skin lesions one layer at a time for immediate examination under a microscope. The procedure allows for a close examination of each skin layer to detect cancer cells and offers you the highest chance for recovery, even when other forms of treatment have failed. The surgery is performed under local anesthesia in our outpatient clinic by our Mohs surgeons.
