Primary Care

A primary care physician, also called a PCP or general practitioner, provides continuing care to keep you well. Your PCP also acts as the first point of contact for undiagnosed health concerns.

Primary care includes disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, and the diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in a variety of health care settings.
