Depression Specialty Clinic

If you or a family member is dealing with depression, UMass Memorial Medical Center can help. Our psychiatrists are skilled at treating a range of depressive disorders and managing your well-being.

What Is Depression?

A depressive disorder is a whole-body illness, involving the body, mood and thoughts, and affects the way you eat and sleep, feel about yourself and think about things. It’s not the same as being unhappy or in a blue mood. We recognize that a depressive disorder isn’t a sign of personal weakness or a condition that someone can just "get over" and feel better.
