Mohs Micrographic Surgery Clinic Now Open

Leominster, MA – Recently, Colleen and Wayne Elliot were our first patients to receive Mohs Micrographic Surgery (an advanced surgical treatment for treating common forms of skin cancer) during the grand opening of the clinic on July 6, 2016 at our Leominster Campus. WORCESTER, Mass. – Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has selected UMass Memorial Medical Center as a Blue Distinction Center+ (plus) for Knee and Hip Replacement, the highest designation in the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program. UMass Memorial Medical Center Honors Volunteers

WORCESTER, Mass. – UMass Memorial Medical Center honored its volunteers on Tuesday, April 12 during a special luncheon held at the Beechwood Hotel, Worcester. In observance of National Volunteer Week, long-time volunteers were recognized for their years and hours of service.

According to Jody Stark-Cornetta, director of Volunteer Services, last year 800 volunteers donated 84,316 hours, a significant savings to the Medical Center if employees were to assume volunteers’ duties.

VA Claims Clinic Slated for UMass Memorial Medical Center

 Worcester-area vets can file, appeal and update existing claims during one-day clinic 

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Regional Benefits Office will host a claims clinic at UMass Memorial Medical Center on Friday, February 12. The Claims clinic will give veterans, their dependents and survivors an opportunity to meet with VA staff who can assist them with benefits questions. This event is in response to requests for expanded access in the Worcester area from U.S. Representative Jim McGovern and veterans in the community.
