Leominster, MA – Deborah Weymouth, FACHE, CEO & President of UMass Memorial - HealthAlliance Hospital, recently announced that the UMass Memorial - HealthAlliance Hospital Foundation will begin accepting applications for the Doyle Community Fund Grant Program. In response to a recent Community Health Needs Assessment completed by UMass Memorial - HealthAlliance Hospital in conjunction with other health care partners in the region, the Foundation has created an annual grant opportunity to fund programs and initiatives that seek to improve health and wellness and that impact our youth at risk and families in need. The Request for Proposals (RFP’s) that will be considered are proposals that specifically address behavioral health, substance abuse, tobacco or suicide prevention.
“Through the generous support of our community partners, employees and donors we are pleased to announce this annual grant opportunity. Grants will range from $1,000 and $5,000 and will allow HealthAlliance to support many of programs and initiatives that currently exist in the community,” commented Deborah Weymouth, President & CEO UMass Memorial – HealthAlliance Hospital. Weymouth also stated that funds for the grants have been secured through year- long fundraising events including annual appeals and the hospital’s first Gala.
Beginning January 8, nonprofits will be able to visit the UMass Memorial - HealthAlliance Hospital Foundation website to apply for funding. All applications must be submitted by 12pm on Friday, February 19.
“We look forward to partnering and supporting the programs that will have a positive impact on health and wellness within our community,” stated Deborah Weymouth.
