Children, Teddy Bears, Dolls and Stuffed Animals Are Invited to the Teddy Bear Clinic
- UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center is hosting a “beary” fun health and safety fair
- Interactive and educational event for children of all ages
WHO: Free event open to the public; staff from UMass Memorial will be hosting booths of fun activities for children
WHAT: Teddy Bear Clinic with 27 booths and activities
WHEN: Saturday, September 29 from 10 am to 3 pm
WHERE: UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, 55 Lake Ave. North, Worcester
WHY: Community event to raise awareness of health and safety while engaging children in a fun and interactive manner with health professionals from UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center.
Children are encouraged to bring their parents and favorite stuffed toy for a checkup! They can step aboard an ambulance or fire truck and visit dozens of interactive booths including face painting, obstacle course, poison game, a bike raffle and much more. Local mascots Arthur, Massachusetts Pirates; Jake, Worcester Bravehearts; and Trax, Worcester Railers will be on hand for photos. The Teddy Bear Clinic is brought to you by UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center in partnership with Delta Dental of Massachusetts and our sponsors, Charter TV3, Clear Channel and WXLO.
