Psychiatry Training and Education at UMass Memorial Medical Center
As an academic medical center, UMass Memorial partners with UMass Medical School and provides teaching and clinical rotations for medical students and psychiatry residents who are training to be psychiatrists. Students and residents participate in clinical cases and work closely with faculty to develop skills in clinical care, teaching, administration and patient advocacy.
We also offer fellowships in addiction psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, forensic psychology, neuropsychology and psychopharmacology. Fellows are doctors who have completed their psychiatry residency and chose to continue their training through our program.
